It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that I have been writing this blog for a whole year. When I started it, I had no idea where I might go with it or how often I might write it. All I knew is that I didn’t want it to become a divisive platform.
As you know, each week has been something different. As you also know, I love writing about history, books, travel, and just quirky things about life. Thank you for bearing with me.
The stats program I have with the blog informs me how many readers I have for a particular post. It also provides a graph, showing me which posts have been read the most.
Especially interesting to me is where readers live. Most of you are from the United States, but I have had other readers from a variety of countries: Ireland, China, South Korea, France, Canada, Kazakhstan, and India, to name a few.
I plan on continuing to write, but not as often. Life has ramped up with a lot more busyness. I won’t necessarily post on Thursdays. I’ll just see how it works out.
In reviewing the past year, I’d like to repost two of my favorite stories. They happen to be about our trip to Death Valley almost a year ago. It was a rather short trip, but so much fun. If you haven’t read them or would like to read them again, here they are:
Again, thanks for your support, week after week. If I could serve you a piece of cake to celebrate, I would. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy anniversary!
Thanks, Gina.
Hey! A whole year! That went fast! Congratulations! Crazy to think when you started this blog you weren’t a grandma yet. How life changes so quickly! Love you. Good job! Congratulations! And Mazel Tov!
Thank you, Annie. It’s been a lot of fun and I do plan to continue – just not as regularly. Yes, the highlight of this year was Olivia. She will always be our special gift.
